The Aetna Student Health plan does not include dental insurance, but it does include a dental discount program: the Vital Savings Discount Program. In most instances savings range from 15-50% discount on services from general dentistry and cleanings to root canals, crowns, and orthodontia (braces). Actual costs and savings vary by provider and geographical area. No claims to file.
To find a dentist who participates in the Vital Savings Discount Program, a student should use the “Find a Doctor” tool located on the Aetna Student Health website.
Student Health maintains a list of off-campus health care resources. This page has information about local health clinics, local reduced priced dental care, and reduced priced prescription drug programs.
