I am a student and have a health or medical concern, what should I do?

Students can call the Fairfax Clinic (703-993-2831) to talk with a nurse about symptoms, illness, a health concern, or prescription refills. The nurse will give advice or schedule an appointment as needed. Video telehealth appointments are available and in-person appointments are available at the Fairfax Clinic.

After-hours, students can follow phone prompts to connect to the free nurse advice phone service.

Current Mason students in Virginia are eligible for telehealth appointments. Students who are not in Virginia are encouraged to call their local primary care provider.

If you are sick, stay home except when seeking medical care. If you have symptoms of illness (such as fever, body aches, cough, shortness of breath, etc…) or are concerned that you have potentially been exposed to COVID-19, call Student Health or your local healthcare provider for medical advice. Residential students must call Student Health.
