Immunization (Vaccination) Appointments Resume
Starting July 6, 2020, Student Health Services will resume scheduled immunization appointments for required vaccinations at the Fairfax Clinic. We have implemented measures to help maintain appropriate social distancing and spacing of patients during appointments and for the health of patients and staff.
Currently, appointments are available only for required immunizations (Tdap/Td, MMR, Meningococcal ACYW, Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis testing) for newly admitted or re-admitted students. Students planning on taking on-campus classes in fall 2020 and/or residing on-campus are being given scheduling priority at this time so that they are able to meet immunization requirements.

How to Schedule an Immunization Appointment
Students must upload the Mason Immunization Record Form and any supporting documentation to the online Patient Portal before an appointment can be scheduled. Check record status.
Call the Immunization Office (703-993-2135) during open hours to schedule an immunization appointment.
What to do for my appointment
After your appointment is scheduled, log into the Patient Portal. Fill out necessary forms before you come to your appointment.
All patients must wear a cloth face covering to their appointment.
Bring your Mason ID or photo ID.
Bring your cellphone to call for admittance when you arrive. If you will not have a cellphone available, tell staff when scheduling your appointment.
Arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time. If you arrive earlier, you may have to wait outside the building until closer to the appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, it may need to be rescheduled. These practices allow us to maintain appropriate social distancing.
What to expect at my appointment
The SUB 1 building remains closed. You must call for admittance. You should enter on the 2nd level of SUB 1. This is the entrance near the Quad and benches, across from the Fenwick Library and The Mix.
All patients will be screened for symptoms of covid-19 and your temperature will be checked with a no-touch thermometer before being admitted into the clinic.
Staff will be wearing face masks and other personal protective equipment.
Please use hand sanitizer when you enter the clinic.
No visitors are allowed with patients at their appointment unless medically or legally necessary.
Fees for immunizations are due on the date of service. After your appointment, pay any fees online through the Mason Marketplace.
If you feel sick, stay home. Do not come for your immunization appointment. Call Student Health 703-993-2831 to cancel your appointment and talk with a nurse regarding your symptoms.
Student Health Services will continue to adjust to support the healthcare needs of our community and follow recommendations provided by the Virginia Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to maintain the safety of patients and healthcare workers. If Virginia changes their phase of re-opening, these processes may change to make sure we are complying with state guidance and protecting the health and safety of patients and staff.
