Off-Campus Resources

All currently enrolled students are eligible to receive health care at Student Health Services. There is no charge to be seen by a healthcare provider. There are fees for supplies, immunizations, medications, lab tests, physicals, supplies, and some procedures and serivces.

Student Health can provide referrals to off-campus healthcare providers. If you have health insurance, check with your provider before your visit to ensure they accept your insurance.

If you need assistance finding off-campus resources for your health care needs, the following resources may be beneficial.

Prescription Medication

Resources and information about local pharmacies or prescriptions.

Basic Needs

Mason’s Student Support and Advocacy office provides resources for students who need assistance, including the on-campus Patriot Pantry.

Dental Care

Resources and information about local dental care options.

LGBTQ Resources

The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) offers a free search tool to locate LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning) -friendly providers in your area.

Urgent Care

Local urgent healthcare and emergency rooms.

Public Transportation Information

Mason’s Parking and Transportation Services has a variety of resources for travel to Mason campuses and locally.

Off Campus Medical Care

Community Referrals Notice: Community referrals are provided as a courtesy and do not reflect an endorsement of the provider or a guarantee of service, quality, insurance coverage or clinical outcome. Refer to each facility or organization for eligibility requirements and availability of services.

Fairfax County Health Department

Offers a variety of services including immunizations, STD testing, TB testing, pregnancy testing, and maternity services. The Community Health Care Network provides health services for eligible low income, uninsured, county residents.

Arlington County Department of Public Health

Offers a variety of services including immunizations, STD Testing, TB Testing, and family planning services.

Prince William County Health & Human Services

Offers a variety of services available to residents of the Prince William Health District including immunization clinic services, STD testing, and women’s health services.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Has a searchable feature for the United States to help users locate a local health clinic.
