HPV and Meningitis vaccines help protect you against serious illness and are recommended for college-aged students.

Who should consider vaccination?

The HPV vaccine is recommended for those age 9 – 26. If you started the series but didn’t finish it, you can finish your series. If you’re age 26 – 45 you may also benefit from vaccination after discussion with your health care provider.

Both Meningococcal ACWY and B have caused small outbreaks on college campuses. Student Health Services recommends students living in residence halls consider meningitis vaccination or complete their series.

Meningitis ACWY vaccine is recommended for those up to age 21.  Meningitis B vaccine is recommended for those up to age 23.

Talk with your health care provider or Student Health Services about which vaccines are right for you.

What are the benefits of HPV and meningitis vaccines?

The HPV vaccine protects against certain cancers caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and protects against genital warts.

Meningitis ACWY and Meningitis B vaccines protect against most common causes of the disease and reduce the spread of these infections. Meningitis is an uncommon, but very serious infection that causes swelling in the lining of the brain and spinal cord.
