Travel Clinic

This service helps to prepare travelers for a safe trip by providing travel safety tips, as well as prescriptions and immunizations needed for disease prevention.

The Travel Clinic is available to students, faculty, and staff by appointment only. Appointments should be made approximately four to six weeks prior to departure, especially if traveling to a developing country.

A nominal fee is charged for Travel Clinic visits, additional fees are charged for immunizations.

Please bring trip itinerary, list of medications you are currently taking, and your immunization records with you to the appointment.

You may need one or more of the following immunizations:

  • Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR) vaccine
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis) vaccine
  • Meningococcal vaccine
  • Varicella (chicken pox vaccine)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis A
  • Typhoid
  • Malaria (oral medication)

Possibly required, but not available at SHS:

  • Yellow Fever vaccine
  • Rabies
  • Poliovirus vaccine
