Will I need insurance? Do I need the student health insurance to be seen?

No. SHS does not accept insurance. However, if you have health insurance it may help to cover outside lab fees that might be incurred, so bring your insurance card if you have one.

All George Mason University students are eligible to see a provider at Student Health Services (SHS) whether they have insurance or not. There is no charge to be seen by a healthcare provider, there are fees for some procedures, lab work, and medications.
